Not for everyone. : I think you would need to already have a fair knowledge of the enneagram and also of the Diamond Approach in order to be able to use this book but I'm glad Almaas has written it. He says he wrote it to make a book on this subject that was more accessible than Facets of Unity which is only really accessible if you have had the non-dual experience. I read Facets of Unity- or bits of it -and really couldn't make sense of what I was reading so gave up. This book - Keys to the Enneagram - is much more accessible and shows how each of the personality types are really a strategy to avoid a lack we have experienced. If we can bring ourselves to face the lack we can also access the quality or understanding we originally needed - so as an enneagram type 5 I tend to stock-pile and it's very hard for me to believe that the world - or the universe - will supply me with what I need, despite many experiences in which exactly that has happened - a part of me always just says that was the exception and continues to fear not having. I haven't cracked it yet but I think what Almaas is saying is that if I could really encounter the deep feeling and fear of there being a limited amount of resources this would shift and allow me to feel that I am part of an invisible web in which all of my needs will be taken care of. On the head level I get this but I can't say yet I "know" it - or maybe on some level I do. I wish A H Almaas would come round to my house and help me with this because if he did I would have it cracked in no time. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 6, 2021 )
